I help adolescents & young adults to navigate life’s challenges, build self-awareness & enhance emotional well-being. Since teen struggles often reflect deeper family dynamics, I work closely with parents - offering reflection, psychoeducation & a non-judgemental space for meaningful change to unfold on all levels.
Whether you're looking for a counsellor near you or online counselling in South Africa, I'm here to help you navigate a range of life challenges.
With extensive experience in school settings, I offer particular insight when working with adolescents and young adults navigating an often overwhelmingly difficult stage of development.
I specialise in offering guidance for family or relationship difficulties, bereavement (grief), anger, trauma, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, career guidance, family adjustments, academic stress, time management, bullying, self-esteem, substance use and more.
You are not 'a lost cause'. You are not 'going crazy'. You are still becoming.

Facilitating with piloting a research project designed by The World Health Organisation. Early Adolescent Skills for Emotions (EASE) program aims to support 10 to 14-year olds with internalising problems (e.g. symptoms of depression, anxiety, distress). Aims to improve the mental health of young adolescents living in adversity, and to improve their caregivers’ skills to support them.
In this role, I provided both individual and group counselling to adolescents, supporting them through challenges such as family and relationship difficulties, bereavement, anger management, trauma, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and substance use prevention. I created a safe and therapeutic space that fostered emotional growth and resilience.
I also designed and facilitated psychoeducational workshops on stress management, coping strategies, and career guidance—empowering students to make informed decisions and manage academic and personal stressors effectively.
In collaboration with the school community, I developed educational resources including infographics on ADHD and ADD to enhance awareness among parents and staff, and compiling a comprehensive manual to assist educators and caregivers in supporting learners with diverse needs.
Additionally, I conducted psychometric assessments—including subject choice and career assessments—providing valuable insights that informed tailored support and intervention strategies.
Over the course of five years, I gained diverse teaching experience both locally and abroad across various age groups and educational settings. Thus, I bring a unique blend of teaching and psychology expertise to support youth through various challenges.
I began as a high school English teacher at Beaconhouse Yamsaard in Hua Hin, Thailand, where I taught English literature and language to adolescents. This was followed by ESL tutoring at The Language Guild and a core teaching role at Kentridge Education Hub, where I supported learners in foundational subjects.
My international experience expanded at EtonHouse International in Singapore, where I worked as a kindergarten teacher, developing early literacy, social-emotional, and inquiry-based learning in a Reggio-inspired environment.
Locally, in South Africa, I worked as an online tutor at Masterplan AcadeME, delivering tailored academic support to primary and secondary students, with a strong focus on language development, exam preparation, and fostering independent learning skills in an online environment.
I was honoured to contribute to Dear Diary, a mental wellness journal created by Be Kind, offering my expertise and guidance as a Registered Counsellor. My role involved developing psychologically-informed journal prompts designed to support users on their healing journeys toward greater health, growth, and self-awareness.
Drawing from my background in counselling, education, and mental health advocacy, I ensured the content promoted emotional regulation, self-reflection, and personal insight. I worked closely with the Marketing Director, editing, and design teams to ensure the journal aligned with psychological best practices while remaining inclusive, culturally sensitive, and accessible to individuals with diverse needs and abilities.
This collaboration was deeply meaningful to me, as it combined creativity and clinical insight to create a supportive tool for everyday mental wellness.
I’m not here to fix you.
I’m here to sit beside you —
in the dark, in the longing, in the quiet ache that no one else seems to notice.
I hold space for the parts of you that feel too deep, too sensitive, too complicated.
Because I’ve lived in those places too.
I’ve wrestled with the ache to belong
while fearing I’d have to shape-shift to be accepted.
I know what it’s like to feel both too much and not enough,
often at the same time.
And so I hold space not as someone with all the 'right' answers —
but as someone who has learned the sacredness of staying.
Staying with discomfort.
Staying with feeling.
Staying with you.
I believe that healing doesn’t always look like joy.
Sometimes, it looks like being allowed to feel everything —
without shame, without rush, without fear of being abandoned in it.
This is what I offer:
Not perfection.
But presence.
And the gentle reminder that even in your most tender moments,
you are not alone.
You belong here.
